John has been selling businesses for almost thirty years during which time he has been involved with almost 10,000 businesses of all types, shapes and sizes – his specialisation being catering, retail, healthcare and incorporated companies.

His daughter now lives with her family in France whilst his son works as a TV presenter. Outside of business John is keen on spending times with friends, loves food and drink, and relaxes in the gym or on the golf course.

Kevin is mainly responsible for valuations and sales and is renowned as one of the best ‘dealmakers’ in the industry. He has been engaged in business brokerage since 1980.

He has dealt with an impressive range of small to medium enterprises, private limited companies, partnerships and sole traders – with a particular specialisation in the sale of healthcare businesses, day nurseries and retail concerns. His reputation is based on providing clients with thoroughly professional and ethical advice at all times.

Mary has over 25 years experience in business brokerage selling an impressive range of small to medium enterprises, private limited companies, partnerships and sole traders gaining an excellent reputation as a deal maker.

Outside work Mary enjoys family life, walking, travelling, eating out, most sports and is a keen golfer.

Liz has owned and personally sold several businesses, including a helicopter company, a recruitment agency and a promotions business. She has three children, and spends most of her working day juggling telephone calls, files, visitors, and a mountain of paperwork before going home to her other job. She is renowned for her smile, her care for all those around her, and her positive attitude towards everything life throws at her.

Liz has been working with John in business sales and has been so employed for over ten years and is the classic ‘Girl Friday’. She has total responsibility for providing the essential back up required in every office from database entry to computer systems, whilst also dealing with telephone enquiries and all the mailing requirements of such a busy office.

Tim Isaacson takes care of all the commercial requirements, loans and mortgages of people buying businesses - whether through Ashley Tate or not. Other introducers to him include accountants and financial advisers. He is renowned as a workaholic, but best known for his tenacious approach, his ability to get the lowest possible rates whilst always being focussed on the clients needs - this same level of service being applied to the £50,000 loan as the multi million pound deals. Tim has spent his life in banking, with RBS and Barclays before starting his own broking business in 2005 and combining forces with Ashley Tate in 2006.

Lesley Decker – often mistaken on the telephone for Lorraine Kelly – has a wealth of experience in property, finance and the legal side of business transactions. Renowned for her enthusiasm and bubbly personality she also has a cutting edge that quickly removes time wasting people from her busy schedule. Lesley has an eight year old daughter and enjoys spending time with her family, her friends, good food and wine, plus visits to the gym.
